Using Banana Leaves in Cooking

We cut down some banana leaves last night , because we thought a frost was coming ( maybe tonight ).
I've been watching youtube videos on how to preseve them, how to prepare them to freeze them.
We've been wanting to use them for a long time to make tamales. Does anyone else have amazing things they do with banana leaves ?

I’ve seen also people like in Hawaii cook pigs under the ground by wrapping it in Bananna leaves.

We have friends in Hondurus and this is all they use to make Tamalas, and apparently you can wrap fish in them too to cook, so we have them, thought I'd give them a try until the freeze gets them.

I love love love tamales, made them years ago.
Been talking about making a batch, but it takes soooo long. lol
