I imagine the labour disruption with the postal service here has stalled a lot cuttings from going out. My understanding is that things should get moving again next week.

@TorontoJoe
I read elsewhere on this site something to the effect of "thou shalt not post anything for sale". Apparently it's ok, at least in "Fig Talk"?
Selling policy

No selling is permitted directly on the forum. Members are permitted to announce a sale that must be conducted off the forum. A member may link to where their sale is taking place but under no circumstances may the sale be conducted on this forum

The trading forum is for trading, not selling. Any permissible sale should be posted on the main fig forum only.

If someone is offering cuttings for cost of shipping only this will not be considered a sale and should be offered in the trading forum.

Exemptions: Members may feel free to sell, auction or raffle cuttings directly on the forum if all net proceeds are to be donated to any registered charity or to figfanatic.com to support the ongoing cost of keeping figfanatic.com online. This can be done multiple times within reason at the discretion of the moderators.

Any sales are personal transactions between members and should be treated as such. Figfanatic.com is a communication/discussion platform and not party to any transaction. Figfanatic.com is not responsible for the sale and not an arbiter between disputing members, and disputes should not be engaged here on the forum.

I think this covers it all but again, please feel free to post questions here if you require further clarity.

I agree, I have had the best experience with Tony’s cuttings. One pack got lost in the mail and he promptly replaced them. After something like 2-4 months, the first pack appeared, were in great shape, and successfully rooted.

I’d never use them again.
Couriers are currently over $50+tax for slowest ground service for 400g (less than a pound) small box domestic..... domestically. Next level up for tracked inside a week is $104. I won't name the courier. but the quotes are all similar. That's just here.

In contrast.... I bring my olive oil, cheese and other tasty stuff back from the farm in Italy. Poste Italiene has has a flat rate box up to 20kg (45lbs) to north america. Guaranteed, 5 days.... for 50 euro.

I'm just saying...

Wow that package from Italy sounds really interesting.

I used to bring it back with me but the airlines got so expensive with extra baggage that I just ship all my stuff back now. I don't know how they do it but it always makes it. The only thing.... I don't know if you've ever been to a post office in Italy. If you don't get there way before they open, portare il pranzo!
