Heres my first fig of the season and although I probably picked it a couple of days early it was quite good!

It had a very present figgy flavor along with a slight sappy taste (thus 2 nore days to perfectly ripen as mentioned) near the bottom of the fig (the eye part) it was plenty sweet and ended with a sugar water flavor.

It was soft but the neck was still firm and the fig was juicy.


This my Thermalito I had acquired over 3 years ago and was worried it was a NOT but some members said it appeared to be true so hopefully I continue to get further confirmations.

Seeds did not sink so uncaprified (2nd pic is 30 minutes later).

I have been growing this one for years...That looks like it.

This year it had a LOT of breba...dropped every one of them.
But it is putting on good growth and some main crop.
So I'll see what happens this season....I may keep it around...may not.

Oh man I hope to get some next year. My tree is not doing good its dropping a ton of leaves right now. This fruit looks so delicious

@Kid Fig your the best, I already past out all mine already, and your thermolito seems to be a Superior phenotype. I got my cuttings from @Bigbill OTBP Nursery. The most beautiful cuttings I ever saw.

Much obliged! Mine just seems to be less heat tolerant than the others which is strange because I planted it in a prized half shaded area, I'm babysitting it this season, hoping to get it going but time will tell.
