I water my plants twice daily because we are in the upper 80s despite the cold snap that put them just under 32F last week.

And I have been harvesting daily since.

So, it depends on how cold it got last week for your location.

it got down into the 20's for two nights, then started this upward thing, and now it pretty much looks like this most days. In the upper 30's last night. It was cold enough to kill all my fruit and bit everything pretty hard.

If you don't see any break above 60F in the coming weeks, just let it go dormant gradually and cut down on watering in cold weather.

Plants are usually active in 70s weather. When in doubt, I usually lift the pots to check the weight. In 70s weather, they need to be properly hydrated. If you get yo-yo weather, it is a tough call but generally, I don't leave the pot too dry or too wet.

We have 80's today and tomorrow and then back to the mid 70's. I wish the cold weather would come and stay as I am tired of worrying about them being in their winter location. They were hastily put in their storage locations due to the polar vortex and then it got warm again. I have various aged trees in the garage and they haven't all gone dormant. Watering 30-40 trees in the garage will not be fun as is, but am not looking forward to doing it any time soon.

Our weather is cooling off to the 70s and 60s in a few days. We got 4-5" of rain yesterday. Tia Penya did well with the split test outside in the soaking rain. I moved most trees with ripening fruits inside. I guess I shouldn't water them but our forecast is not reliable. I got couple splits inside.

Since I have been moving the trees in the garage almost daily, I learnt I could run the hose inside and water it like normal. Garage has a slight angle so excess water, which I keep to a minimum, all drain outside.

We’re getting rain tonight and some tomorrow. We need it.
