The Freeze Has Started

The freeze warning I posted about yesterday has started. It was 46°F when I got this morning at 5 am and right now it’s 42°F. Predicting a low of 31°F sometime tonight. Will be putting my 3 container trees in the shed tonight.

It was 39F here when I woke up this morning. My season is coming to an abrupt halt.

Wow fig season is coming to an end. I wish my climate will become Florida's climate without moving to hurricane alley.

If you have a thermometer, you may want to place one in the shed to compare shed vs outdoor temperatures. At least this will give you a heads up before going into Winter if any additional protection is necessary.

@bushdoctor82 you were right yesterday, saw on the news last night there’s a nor’easter heading up the east coast towards you and the northeast. Y’all up that way “hang on to your hats”.

I heard someone was on here using the "F" word!?!?!

I have a little break tomorrow and way too many figs on the in ground trees. I'm about to put up another greenhouse and run up the electric bill

Yup, I just dragged all my fig babies into the garage, who will stay there for a few days until the freezing nights and very rainy Nor’easter passes.

That one’s inground. It went down to 39°F yesterday morning and again this morning. Thank goodness it didn’t reach the forecasted 31°F.
