Today I did my grocery shopping and at the cash register I found out that the price of usps book of postage stamps is now pert near $16. 😲 It’s got me thinking about all you guys that sell and trade fig trees and cuttings, what’s the price for shipping? If stamps went up the shipping must have too. 🤔

Usps is the best government agency ever created. If it were a private enterprise it would be considered the most poorly run of all time.

5 days for priority mail for most of the country now. Used to be 2 days nearly everywhere in the US. Now they don't even take packages to the distribution center on the same day you drop them off. Its a joke, and a costly one. Mismanagement is very costly. That being said its not entirely the fault of usps that the costs are going up. When a country has a private central bank that issues debt that is considered 'money', you will have problems. You can't devalue the currency 99.999999% over the course of 100 years and keep prices down. Print more money, get more inflation. Simple economics, not so good for normal people, very good for large banks and corporations that get trillions in free $.

it's less "printing money" as it is the stock market creating hypothetical monies out of nowhere. 2018 tax plan and interest rate cuts made stocks go from 20k to 40k. Hypothetical money DOUBLED! Corporations are FAT with wealth, 401ks and IRAs doubled, everything just went poof magically (manmade manipulation). That naturally means when there's twice the money out there (none printed mind you) it has HALF the value. Right?! You can't have twice the money in the world over a short span with devaluation and inflation. It's like cutting a pizza into 16 slices...

I'm with you, though, the world's gone to pot. The downward spiral can be traced back to 2018.

Some might say it's been a downward spiral since Adam and Eve ate the "forbidden fruit"

Now the question is, was it really an apple, fig or pomegranate?

The derivative market along with the stock market is definitely a major problem. With derivatives re selling and rebundling the same 'assets' over and over again. Its quite the Ponzi scheme. Who knows how many quadrillion $ in junk is out there now, likely thousands of times the actual money supply in existence. (Though debatable because no one really knows how much the fed 'prints'.)

2008 mortgage crisis is a good example of when it got way out of control. Turned out that the ratings agencies were giving A grades to junk bonds and derivatives...re packaged junk sold over and over. A bunch of junk backed by nothing. Then the calls started coming in and the bubble came crashing down. The only people to suffer were the regular people. All the big banks and corporations were bailed out by the taxpayer and the fed. Free money, trillions of dollars while many people lost everything.

None of this could be possible without the federal reserve, a PRIVATE central bank backing the whole scheme. Yes, that's correct, a private entity controls the minting of our Republic's money. 1913 was the nail in the coffin for sound money. Been downhill ever since. We had a us treasury to mint our republics money. We got sold out. Now everything is a mess.

USPS priority is both quick and cheap for most areas of the country for cuttings and small packages ( under 10$ for a cutting package for most of the country, $12 if its going coast to coast) . When moving to shipping trees, UPS is a much better deal. With both UPS ground and USPS priority, their failure and damage rates are very low for me over the past few years....around 1-3%. There are higher failure and delay rates in a few specific areas ( mostly in Texas)
