Siblawi? More like Sib-wow-ee!

I don’t think that even made sense…

This thing had been hanging for days and it wasn’t getting any softer. I couldn’t take it anymore so I picked it. It still seems like it could use another day but wow! I have never tasted a fig like this before. I sliced it into a few pieces so my wife and son could try as well. We looked at each other and said the same thing, I swear it tastes of banana popsicle. Quite sweet too!

The down side is this is a 3rd year tree and I’m only getting a handful. It was good enough that I plan to keep it and give it the 5 star treatment next season

@"TorontoJoe"#1 @"GoodFriendMike"#9  @"Figology"#21 Okay Siblawi? More like Sib-wow-ee!  I am very curious about this good sized 41gram Fig. Especially since it tastes like a banana popsicle. Very few things do in this world. Is there an interesting backstory on this variety that you guys might want to share with us? I went back to 2016 when @"TorontoJoe"#1 started wishing for a cutting, but I couldn't get an origin story. Is it another California find??
