Seen any of these at your yard?

The Spotted Lantern Fly. An interloper that stowed away inside cargo from China. They are prevalent in Pennsylvania,New Jersey and now showing up here in northern Virginia and yes they are here in my city of Staunton Virginia. Had one here literally at my front door last year. Here’s a video I saw this morning on how best to deal with them.

Yeah, unfortunately I have them. They aren't that bad this year although there are some in my trees. That being said, two years ago I couldn't walk outside without them jumping all over me.

I hope the birds learn to love these and feast on them...what a great source of food for them, if they can just learn that they are okay to eat!

I live in PA, so ground zero for them. As they mature the good news is they are leaving my figs trees.

They are bigger now. I’ll try to get a picture today but they are almost adults, at the moment red with white dots.

I have some that are now adults in Pittsburgh, PA. There are alot on my trees at this point. I'm thinking about hitting them with some Spinosad
