Yesterday evening, I unwrapped the tree and hung a Govee Thermometer near the trunk so I can monitor temperature fluctuations during the cold days of winter.
Today, I checked to see the difference in temperature between outside and inside the protected area. When it was 58 degrees outside, the Govee gave a reading of 51 degrees inside, a seven degree difference.
I hope this wrapping will prove a bit more efficient during the cold weather of January and February. In other words, I hope the wrapping will keep the protected area (tree) at least 10 degrees warmer, when it is below 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside.
Also, I placed an order for a second Govee, so I can use same model devices to measure differences in temperatures.
