Pruning in southern California

Hi

I have a question for those of you in SoCal. Is there an actual dormant season? Like, when do the trees lignify so that you can take cuttings? I need to fly down to San Diego to help a family member out and they have a fig tree so just trying to plan my entire trip around that lol

Yes, my fig trees dropped all the leaves and went dormant in San Diego. I don't have an exact month though.

I concur, most will lose all of their leaves by early January. Some will have a few residuals.
