Propagating avocados by cuttings?

Has anyone successfully propagated avocados by cutting? I know avocados air layer relatively easily, but I have been obsessed with trying avocado propagation by cutting. This is likely to be my next big propagation Adventure,. I can use any information my fellow members can offer me.

I failed with 20 cuttings of Fuerte avocados last year. I have two air-layers that I set last week, maybe I’ll have better luck.

I used Hormodin-3 last year for the cuttings.

I have never tried cuttings! I've grown a dozen from seed, its a very high success rate, takes about 1 month to grow roots that are long enough to add to a vase and then around month 2 the tree emerges from the top.
