Preto and AJH

Down to my last handful of Preto that will still ripen this year. Full sun in 15-gallon pot and in 3rd growing season.

Head started inside on Super Bowl Sunday last year. I may headstart again this year, but not until March at the earliest.

AJH is in a 25-gallon pot, full sun and 3rd growing season. No headstart and began ripening 2nd week of August. Still have a few dozen left to harvest.

Preto is a great fig. How did you transition your trees to full sun ?

Around a week tucked in the corner of driveway and front porch. Sun doesn’t reach that location until around 4 PM. After a week leave the trees in front of garage door to get more sun and drag them back into garage if temperatures drop. After that, full sun in backyard. I only have 4 potted trees and 3 going forward, so moving them is a much easier task than having to be move and acclimate dozens.

@"bushdoctor82"#14 . Congratulations for growing and ripening two wonderful varieties. Figo Preto, and Adriatic JH. I love the adriatics . Your pictures of Adriatic JH look good enough to eat. Thank you so much for explaining your acclimating process to full sunlight.
