Ponte Tresa

Dang that's a cool color change from top to bottom.
I wouldn't be mad at that one :)
Was the skin thick due to time of year?

It’s been so long that it’s harder to compare. But id say it’s less complex than Unk Prosciutto and less sharp than WM#1. More Smith-like in straight forward strawberry flavor.

These are all nuances though—it was so welcome given the time of year. I’ve stopped protecting my figs, and critters get 6-10 half-ripe figs very night.

Look at this row of Bass Favorite Fig they grabbed last night—all gone this AM! I got to eat the tiny shriveled one only—very tasty, but I was so hopeful for the others given how warm Halloween is supposed to be.

I had to do a double take on this one. I tried for years and could never even get mine to fruit. It was a slow grower for me as well. I put it down to being in the north east…. But now seeing yours …. Wow!

Thanks @"TorontoJoe"#1 ! I feed and water my trees probably more than most and see good growth as a result. Trees I started as cuttings are usually bigger/more robust than what I’ve bought as rooted cuttings. I start watering with dilute water soluble fertilizer in month 2.

I couldn’t tell if your comment was related to the Ponte Tresa or the BFF, but I have noticed less robust green growth from the PT (which I purchased as a rooted cutting and the overall height hasn’t changed much). Most of my trees are over 6ft tall, but the PT is waist high (small enough to fit in a mesh while tree bag which is why the leaves look a bit crinkled):

.

But my fruit production has been good—here are three branches.
