I would let both branches grow and, in the winter, try to shape it into a quad cup or tri.

Also it looks like the node in the front of the picture is pushing out that would be one of me leaders mabye.

Yep, I usually let the tree decide which form is best. Ciccio Nero was brought over by Pino's father over 54 years ago (if my math is right). I remember he said it was not protected but his area may have a microclimate. Plus, his tree is probably a lot bigger or thicker.
