Persimmon propagation with aloe vera

Yet another variety of hardwood tree that might root better after the leaves have come out and fully developed... we are so used to dormant figs and other cuttings but at least one I know, Ginkgo Biloba roots easily, but only after may when the leaves are at full size...maybe June or July in other climates... 0% in April...

It maybe worth a try just to stick persimmon cuttings in water or soil during the summer with scarification and no other help or with and without rooting hormone...

I have some sitting in water over the winter but they don't look like much.. leaves popped out and lenticles formed but most have declined ... this one has lenticles showing more recently. Maybe sticks around now that temps are higher

I've never been able to root a persimmon cutting no matter what I tried.
One thing that caught my eye was when he applied the aloe Vera to the cutting and put it in the container of soil it says “after days” I bet it must have been many many days. Then many more days before the fruit appeared.

Teresa I am not sure those aloe vera Miracle videos are legitimate. Yes it does work to promote rooting, but some of the results seem over the top. On the other hand every housewife in Maui has a little kitchen window Garden. Where she throws her scrap fruits, and vegetables out the window. They all have a garden which grows where they're thrown, without any aloe vera. Tropical climates can do amazing things. I visited a friend in Maui years ago who had a 20 ft avocado tree lots of Ginger, papaya, and mango growing and a couple of banana trees with ripening bananas as well, outside her kitchen window She told me the 20 foot avocado tree was 2 years old. She said all she did was throw her cooking scraps out the window.

What's normal for a garden can be very different depending on local.
