My Penache is just looking beautiful this year. I wonder what kind of flavour this will bring to me. Any idea when this will ripen on me ? Figlets started june 1st. Surprisingly disease resistant 2 years in a row.

Beautiful figs. I never had luck with it. Shame because the couple I had that did not split where pretty good. Pollinated very good.

No sir. That is one thing I never payed attention to. I should. But normally I walk around and if I see a ripe fig. I eat it before the animals.

Is Panache a late ripener? I think that’s the reason I never got one

It's a typical Adriatic flavor which is excellent. Hang time is forrrrreeeevvvvvveeerrrrrr w Panache. It's 1st to set fruit but man they just hang. They sure are nice to look at, though, so I don't complain. Ive found it to be pretty darn cold Hardy, too.

For me here (NW VA 7a) Panache potted ripened middle of September thru October last year. Everything seems a couple of weeks earlier this year though. I pollinated a few, but they are also just hanging around at about 1+ inch in diameter.

Mine fruited a lot and grow like crazy, had really cool dark green leaves...never got a single fig. lol
Hope you get some Vito, variegated figs just don't do well here for me.
