Osmocote Plus

I use it, but just topically.
Once they are spent I just scoop the out.
Maybe even put a small bit of soil over them.
I change out my soil every couple years so not to big an issue.

Thanks for posting @MFJFIGS I usually miss this sale. lol

Same here, Kevin.
I mix it in the 1/2” top soil layer and scoop out the empty 💊
I mix in the soil medium a generous amount of Espoma Organic Plant-Tone 5-3-3; Earthworm Castings; Aged Composted Manure, Cedar or Pine Bark Nuggets, Limestone + Gypsum. Later, mid season, I mix in DR. EARTH Organic Tomato Dry 4-6-3
Weekly application consists of Fish Emulsion and soluble fertilizer (with PH Up).

That's a good price. I just recently bought the 8-9 month osmocote plus 50lb bag as I couldn't find the 8 lb. bags on sale.

I was contemplating going organic for my pots because of the tiny shell balls left over. I read it's made of plastic. I decided to use osmocote plus because it's too much work to fertilizer pots every few months.

Is this as good as your 50lb. Bag? I don’t have as many trees so I’m looking for something a lot smaller. My trees are going inground, can this be used for inground trees or just containers?

This looks like it's a fertlilzer like Osmocote, the stuff i use besides Osmocote is a near complete micro nutrient.
If you look up meg-iron V check out the label, id post it but im not home.
You can use this but it's on Those same same bead as Osmocote, if you don't mind those in your soil you can use it for in grounds.
I don't fertilizer my in ground trees though.

Thanks for getting back to me. I probably won’t be needing this than because my trees are going inground.

That’s my favorite fertilizer but that is really expensive for just 3lb. I buy through a fertilizer distributor and they charge around $60 per 50lb bag. SouthernAg is their name and you can setup an account with them if you have a business license.

It’s like $160 for 50 lb bag on Amazon! Thanks for sharing that money saving information.
