First Ondata main crop (from the original source) is on the board (first from this tree too). No splitting despite heavy water. The second fig will be ready in a day or two. An air layer will be going in grounds for testing - likely to be a late August - September fig producer in ground here. This is a 2nd year tree in pot. No head start. Shuffled once on April 15th to avoid a frost. It was big & wonderful (med-high sweetness, figgy with honey and banana underones and no discernible berry yet, jammy and sticky), but I can tell it will improve. Isn’t it a joy to nurture a stick to become a tree that gives so much back? I’m amazed every time by these trees.
