Mystery Fig

Can anyone help me identify this fig? It belongs to a friend if mine and here's what he says about it:

putative identity: Lattarula

cold hardiness: it's planted in ground without protection and it has not experienced any dieback yet in zone 7a/7b climate.

fruit characteristics: very large fruits but not the most productive

Ripens: July-September and then you will get a few small ones throughout the fall until the first freezes come.

I looked up Lattarula figs, and they don't seem to have the violet interior. Then I looked for green/yellow figs that are violet on the inside, but I couldn't find any. What are your thoughts?

I've had that violet ring on a fig before but that was a wild find in Italy. I think it looks very cool

Would your friend have any history on it? Do you know where it was obtained? Sometimes tracing the pedigree can provide some clues

I have seen some videos in the past of figs with that coloring, main crop...wish I could remember what they were.
If I remember correctly they were not Capri either.

Thanks for your input, everyone!

Wow, amazing looking figs. Does it split?
Looks like this is the breba crop. Do the small one look the same inside and out?
I'll relay your questions to my friend.

Very cool looking fig, I am curious if this is main or breba like Mike asked.
The tree's owner says the pictured figs are indeed breba.

My friend got this tree from Brambleberry Farm. He thinks there was some kind of tag mix-up.

There is LattarulaNOT that went around as 'Lattarola'... I have an ebay strain that in steadily cool and frosty temps made just a Honey amber flesh... I would guess that maybe it's different but couldn't say for sure
