My tomatoes are starting to ripen

I took a break from my veggie garden this year and am focusing on trees. Last year, I even tried putting up barriers/deterrents for the deer...I'm not sure it even slowed them down. It has been kind of nice not having to worry about all the damage they cause...although I do miss the fresh, garden ripened veggies...

If you want to get an extra step ahead of the pests (squirrels and birds), you can pick tomato’s when they start to blush a bit :) I pick mine as soon as I see a slight blush of color on them and let them ripen on the counter.

Doesn’t taste as good as freshly picked from vine to plate but I always prefer some tomato’s rather than no tomato haha. The squirrels beat me to the best ones when I leave them on vine so I’ve been letting them ripen on counter
