OOOOOO MMMMMMM GGGGG !!!!!!

I'm so jealous! I've wanted one of these for so long. That's a nice gift! I dehydrate but everyone I know who has one of these raves about them being in a different league

Please share your experience with it

Once while in Houston, I got a freeze dried ice cream bar... (astronaut  themed) it was pretty cool.

I hear if you put dry ice in there you go back in time

Doug always went on about how good figs turn out.

I assume you already have a vacuum sealer?

I do have a vacuum sealer, but it came with one as well.
So I'll see which is better and use that.

We have been non stop watching videos...so many possibilities!

I wonder what the deal is using it for meat... I imagine it needs to be cooked first? Maybe not if it's dried though... Do you have a meat slicer? I plan to enjoy the machine through you... :)

You actually can do raw meat, it talks about bacteria still being in the dried meat.
So making sure everything is washed really well.

I am going to make my chili, potato soup...meat loaf...you name it.

Will do some eggs for sure, try some milk.
Of course different fruits.

This thing will probably be running non stop for weeks.

I do not have a meat slicer...yet.

I have to keep asking myself..is it for her birthday or....secretly did I buy it for myself and say it was for her birthday...LOL
She deserved it.  :D

Nice gift !! So that's how it's done. Say it's for her but it's actually for you huh ? I'm wondering if the wife would like a new pair of cuttings from Kremp ? 🤔

Now you got the idea...LOL  :D

The test has commenced, It is recommended to first do a load of bread...not for eating but to soak up any odors or odd flavors from first use of the machine.

So that is what I will do. :)

I'm like a kid at Christmas....I NEED SOME FIGS TO DRY!!!  :P

Ok! I was showing this to my kid. He reminded me of when I took him to a fair this summer where they had a vendor selling freeze dried candy. And it wasn’t cheap. He said, “someone could pay for the machine from selling candy”   (he’s 12).

He’s also wondering if he can get some freeze dried Skittles  :D

Your young lad is not wrong, we do plan to make some items for sale...after stocking up on a few things of course. lol

You can tell him I will indeed send some skittles...just watched some vids on it last night.  ;)

The old Homer Simpson bowling ball trick that I’m sure we’ve all used at one time. Usually works out, but not always.

LOL not always...  :D

Here is my first issue during a full cycle.

I am popping around the house doing various things and went into the kitchen where the machine is, I heard something then notices that the vacuum pump was running, very quiet by the way, I go to look at the vacuum pressure reading and noticed ice forming on the door, in my pic it was in the red area from the seal to the middle.
Indicating to me that the door had not sealed and was pulling in air.

I pushed on the door in the area of the ice and the vacuum grabbed the door and pulled it in until a full seal was made.
THIS IS IN THE MANUAL....they state that it is your responsibility to assure a full seal is made during this phase of the process.

So you cannot expect the machine to do it on it's own.

At that point the reading started to drop and the ice began falling off of the inside of the door.
Sorry I did not get a pic while it was happening.
But you can see the ice at the bottom of the door in the pic indicated by arrows.

I told my wife when you first turn it on you can name the machine, she chose the name, Gods Goods... so if you see that in my pics, that is why. :)
