Late Season Plate Of Figs

I had a craving for some fresh figs so I went outside to see what was growing on. I should have known it was VdB and Beer's Black and I am going to estimate that my 1st year Lowes tissue culture VdB has produced 80-100 figs this season, and still ripening figs. We have had lows in the 40's and 50's F. These figs taste the same as they did in the summer.

Cool! Enjoy. My Bordeaux figs have been nothing like they were in summer... mostly tasteless. Our past two weeks' average temp has been 44°F. In Dallas, it's been 64°F. That explains it.

Yeah, after the cold front this weekend it is supposed to go back to low 80's for the highs next week.
