Took this picture a few days ago . They have got darker now but not as dark has they are supposed to be. I am have doubts now that I got the right variety.

Yesterday I finally decided to pick my first fig from this tree . After cutting it open the smell of banana and peach was a nice surprise. Very little seeds were noticed and the texture was very jammy jelly like . My wife said she tasted a ripe banana with a hint of vanilla. For my part I taste some tropical fruit like flavour but couldn’t really point to a particular fruit .There was no seed crunch as I could not see any , the skin was a bit chewy. I find the hang time to be long , it could have stayed longer on the tree but I had a feeling that someone was also eyeing it so I decided to pick it.

Another banana fig. Very interesting. Siblawi is banana without the peach. I really like it…. The addition of peach notes has me thinking. Nice dense pulp too

You just got me thinking…. Maybe I should add same sort of disclaimer about that? We accept no responsibility for fig addiction and you are solely responsible for all fig purchases

Though, I think you can get Siblawi for a pretty good price these days….. oops! There I go again…. That’s not helping
