Is it too late to take Cuttings?

Hi all, newbie question when is the ideal time for taking cuttings? I took some later last year with some success so I not sure about the sweet spot to increase propagation rates

As far as I know, as long as the trees are dormant and haven’t taken freeze damage you are good to go. Others more experienced will chime in I’m sure.
