Interesting places to see fig flavors

It is no secret I like certain whiskey...mostly Irish varieties.
However I ran into an article speaking about a Scottish Scotch Whiskey called "The Last Drop"

Reading about it I was surprised to see a picture of FIGS...and descriptions of fig flavors.
Thinking...I have to try this, but ...that thought was quickly dashed when I found out the 1971 reserve of only 1352 bottles were non existent.
The last one I seen sold for $4,375.00 bucks.

Guess it's just a dream now...lol

Figs are every where my friends. :)

Hold on... do you mean USD?

USD!  lol

Ohhhh....  Real money...  Um....

I still have some Auchentoshan left in the cupboard I think...   :-/

Yea that's WAY too steep for this Irish guy, have to stick to the fig wine at the frolic. lol
Interesting though...I've never heard of Fig flavors in whiskey.

Make barrels out of fig wood instead of oak?

You just might have something there....lol

I'll admit I'm not the best person for dissecting a whiskey into it's many flavors.
So...I probably wouldn't be able to pick out a fig flavor, but one never knows until one tries it.

What you say we go in halfsies on a bottle Joe?  :D

LoL! Even a fraction of that bottle would definitely get me into some hot water at home.
“You spent how much on whiskey?!?!”
