Holy Smokes/ Holy Smokes Unk

Does anyone have any input on this variety? Is it one and the same, is it common? Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

They are both the same variety. Very similar if not the same as Alma.

I have both Alma and Holy Smokes. I really like my Alma (super sweet, productive), but have not fruited the Holy Smokes yet. I’d be ok if the Holy Smokes turned out to be the same as Alma.

I have not read that yet. But many tree's get removed in Cali.
Good thing is many are growing Holy Smokes.

I always thought Alma is pretty refreshing, always dripping from the ostiole, pretty darn sweet.
I've even gotten some fruity flavors from it.
It and it's leaves are probably some of the most recognizable of all the varieties.

I've grown Holy Smokes. It doesn't seem to like Canada... If I'm not mistaken it was found on the grounds of a church by @The Figtator. Given that it's on private property I hope the mother tree is still in good shape. I don't know though...

Mother tree gone from new landscaping ,i have a nice inground tree of it ,realy productive with lots of honey at ostial ,one of the last to ripen here .
