Hollier 2024

Here in Southeastern Ohio my Hollier put out its figs which were very tasty and now is starting another crop. We are so dry in this area right now the figs are growing quickly. Probably won’t make it but it will be close. Joe , yours look perfect.

It’ been on my wishlist for a few years. Hopefully, I get one going this winter.

I found by third year it didn't thrill me. It's a good producing fig for sure and "good" flavour for me..... but seems close other flavour profiles of other varieties that I'm growing.... That's only my experience so far.... The person who gifted it to me is also in the NE and grows many varieties. They feel it's a "must have" fig. So I'll stick with it for a while longer. We all know too well... they can be finicky sometimes...

@"JMF75"#5 that's some beautiful looking fig fruit. It certainly going gangbusters in your area, and in your home Orchard. Congratulations for growing such a deliciously photogenic fig.

An LSU Hollier has been on my wish Secret wish list for this Winter's propagation. Who knows maybe secret wishes can come true.

Thank you and I'm sure Hollier will find its way to your Orchard soon enough 😁

What is it similar to?  If I have one that’s similar to it that has the same production schedule said:

I don't have anything in my collection that would resemble a Hollier. I'm not saying there isn't but I haven't found one yet.

My understanding is that they’re supposed to be a honey-berry fig but mine don’t have any berry coming through. They’re much more similar to a honey fig for me. I’m hoping it’s just a matter of maturity…. Possibly climate though .

@"Gladstone1969"#72 . I'm so sorry I tried to give you a lovely reply message, but the new system somehow deleted it. So I rolled up my sleeves and tried again. With the same sad results. It's hard to learn so many new names, while you're trying to navigate a brand new platform like figfanatic. If I forget to give you a welcoming (like) please try to forgive me. You all deserve a thousand likes each for supporting @"TorontoJoe"#1. In this new figfanatic platform. If you notice well it is a little hard to navigate, it's by it's very nature open-ended and can easily expand to a lot of different plant varieties we are all interested in. Which is one of the reasons this platform is such an important online Horticultural development.
