Heat stress will it recover?

It got 97f and the heat index was really high yesterday and my Campaniere took a lot of heat stress. I put it in full shade and watered it really well. I think it will drop the leaves. I'm hoping it recovers growing from the green limbs tips. The green undignified limbs aren't drooping just the leaves. Do you all think it will recover growing at the limb tips?

It should be fine but the roots are getting too hot in that container. Do the leaves return to normal in the evening?

I planted some extra cucumbers in a smaller (~8-gallon) black plastic pot and the leaves are limp by mid day and return to normal at night. I wrapped the pot in Mylar this evening to hopefully reflect some mid day heat.

I had I258 look like this and it has recovered nicely. Here is before and after.

You may want to consider a lighter coloured pot. Or perhaps painting them white or wrapping in a space blanket on really hot days.
