Cool - says 41° FWhat temp is it outside?
We get hail sometimes on hot day's here.
If outside temp's are good. I am sure the trees will be fine.
That's a pretty good amount of hail!Cool - says 41° F
Storm. Was there a tornado or severe thunderstorm nearby? That’s usually when you get hail like that.
Lol - I don't blame you for not getting up!That's a pretty good amount of hail!
We got hit with a huge storm cell early this morning that sounded like hail. I was too tired to get up and look.![]()
I'll be checking later this morning - I know the winds managed to snap off a branch (a potted tree fell down) and I still haven't gone outside to stand the tree up.WHOA!
Everything alright over there Ed?
Did it mess up any trees?
That's a lot of hail, dang.
Oh wow - out here they were pea sized; maybe a little larger but definitely not marble sized!Just got pelted here with it. That was a pretty good amount of marble sized hail for here!
I was surprised at the size myself. I’m a little colder than you, so I’m not sure if that’s why. We also had some thunder first.Oh wow - out here they were pea sized; maybe a little larger but definitely not marble sized!
About to head outside in an hour - but they look unharmed; besides the one that's laying on its side.I grew up in SoCal, and I still spend a great deal of time in Los Angeles. While we don't get hail every winter, it's not really a uncommon event. I think your home Orchard will come through just fine.
I think we mightve hit our quota (so to speak).I was surprised at the size myself. I’m a little colder than you, so I’m not sure if that’s why. We also had some thunder first.
Hopefully we got a decent amount of snow out of it!
I grow fig trees in two different locations in California. In Sunland California all fruit trees are planted in the ground. These were the first figs I planted, they are the oldest and they are doing fine. From that Orchard we can look up, and see the snow line in the mountains just above us. We often have snow on those mountains.About to head outside in an hour - but they look unharmed; besides the one that's laying on its side.
