Gulbun

I am very interested in this variety, but have found conflicting info. I've seen Gulbun vs Galbun and pictures look incongruent, some are golden honey inside others more pink?

I'm interested because it's supposedly a melon flavour, any on here have experience with this type?

If it's worth the investment I would put it in a coveted in ground spot, I can probably get away with planting 2-3 more trees before my husband panics

I can't speak to the quality and never grown it. I believe it's Gulbun and a Condit fig. I'm pretty sure it's one and the same and has been misspelled a lot.

There seems to be two figs going around that go by both names.
I am guessing each one was sold mislabeled at some point.
The leaf shape can help tell them apart.

It was Condit that released "Galbun", yes?

This I'd what I've suspected, it would be interesting to hear from anyone who has grown and tasted one or both
