I have had a few of this one so far, and they have been excellent with a great strong lingering flavor (especially for November). The skin, when fully ripened is extremely soft (but hasnt split yet) and the interior is dark red with a bit of purplishness (how late they are ripening could be a contributing factor). It seems to be a decent size even in the first year, mid size or a bit larger so far.

I am looking forward to comparing it to some other adriatics in the future, but it definitely seems like a keeper so far! Great fig (this fig is from Padsfan)

Looks really good, especially for how late in the season!

I noticed you mentioned comparing it to other adriatics in the future. Is this your first adriatic or just a lot later than the others? I’m curious how it compares too. :shy:

Neither, I have a bunch of adriatics.  Just a few ripening on this one as a first year plant.  I just meant that when I am getting a bunch of these on the same day as other adriatics I can compare them side by side.  Adriatics are my favorite... To me a lot of them have different qualities, sometimes even when they look similar or the same.

I figured this couldn’t be your first ones, haha, but wasn’t quite sure. :)
Yeah, side by side is definitely the best kind of comparison!

I have yet to find one that I didn't like  :D

I agree with Kevin!  With pictures like these and the great review on this one, it really makes it hard to pass up.  I'm trying to strictly limit how many new varieties I get and to start culling what I have...this sure makes that tough to do!  :D  I'm finding that Adriatics are my favorite type of fig...which makes it even tougher!

Again, thanks for the great review!

Sorry to post on this thread so late, but I cannot resist chiming in on Green Goblin figs. I was lucky enough to taste one, and I have not been able to put it out of my mind. This is definitely on my must propagate, and grow for next spring. Your pictures look photogenically amazing, with an irresistible incandescent purple pulp. Thank you so much for posting.
