Fake PayPal email. This is now the 4th one. Different name, same amount of money. Hope none of you are getting any of these in your email, if you do DON'T PAY IT, it's a scam.

I’d love to get away from PayPal entirely. Stripe is in Canada now, but I’m not that familiar with it. I’ve been meaning to look into exactly how it works
 
I use protonmail primarily now, and have for about 10 years now. I don't even think I have gotten 1 real spam message in my inbox, with multiple email addresses. I am very careful who and where I give my email also. My other account I still have, but basically don't use is at yahoo. They are a trashy company. They constantly dump the most obvious scams into my inbox, and have done this for decades. Emails coming from @tygxmmmm.com like addresses. I was recently targeted by a very elaborate scam in my yahoo email. There are scammers inside the company, I know for a fact. The point is, a lot of email providers are actually trash, and that's a major problem for the user, because the email providers are letting in more emails to you inbox than they should. The other problem is that you need to be very careful with how you use your email, and don't use an email with your name in it. If you have an email like john1982@gmail.c_m then you are more likely to be targeted by spam, because scammers can send out billions of emails to random email addresses that they think may be in use. So words like dog, tree etc are more likely to get junk mail than an email like 4.me.67@gmail.c_m

Another reason I use protonmail is because they value privacy more than others. Nothing regarding technology is truly private, but I'd prefer to use a company with a bit better values than a company like Yahoo or Google that don't care about quality or privacy.

Stripe is good. Danny at Figbid works a lot with Stripe people. He has high praise for them! Paypal....we use because we have to

Can stripe be used for person to person money transfer like PayPal?
 
I’ve never used credit or debit cards online.

If I need to purchase something online, I’ll buy a prepaid Visa card or buy gift cards. I’d rather pay a transaction fee than having my banking and credit info online and open to hackers / scammers.

I do have a proton mail address...need to use it more.
