How can you tell a male pepper from a female pepper?
If this is a serious question, there are no male/female peppers or pepper flowers. Peppers are hermaphroditic, containing both male and female reproductive parts in a single flower. They hence don't require pollination. How can you tell a male pepper from a female pepper?

I had heard this before but forgot. Thanks and I agree about males less messy.@superdave336 @Figgin' A This is the answer… male peppers have 3 lobes and females have 4 lobes they also have more seeds than male. When I buy peppers I always pick the 3 lobes, less messy.

It seems @Figgin' A is correct. I goggled the male and female pepper lobes and it seems it’s a myth, pepper flowers have both female and male parts in the flowers. The number of lobes are results of growing conditions. Feels weird finding out something you always believed to be true was wrong.I had heard this before but forgot.
