Perhaps a bit early, but my season has basically ended here sicne I only did a small veggie garden this year. Plus im a bit of a gardening enthusiast so Ive planned out next years annual veggie garden already :) show me your garden plans in this thread.

I have a corner lot so all of my gardening is done in the "front yard" and there fore I have to keep it tidy or the town will come after me. I just got 8 new beds and my seeds are all gathered for my spring garden plans. I plan on putting a layer of woodchips between all of these beds and to hide the weird part of my driveway I am putting some beds on, and Ive already started laying irrigation down. Plus going to put a short 2 foot "fence" around it so it looks planned. no deer here on my part of long island so no need to worry about them. I placed it next to my "tall meadow bed" which mimics a tall open meadow thats native to me, full of tons of 5-6 foot tall plants in the back like goldenrod, ironweed, and swamp milkweed and soem shorties down front like yarrow, switchgrass, little bluestem and pearly everlasting.

I got some fun varieties too for the veggies, as you will come to expect with me, i like the weird stuff.

Sunchokes: weiss truffle and gigant
Watermelon: classic sugar baby
Leeks: American Flag
Broccoli: Asparbroc baby and Calabrese Green sprouting
Tomatoes: orange accordian and alice's dream
Radishes: French breakfast, pusa gulabi.
Artichoke: Purple italian globe
PAttypan: Partial Eclipse F1
Brussels Sprouts: long island improved
Carrots: Kyoto Red
Onion: Flat of italy
Tomatillo: Rio Grande Verde and Purple
Hot Peppers: Black Hungarian and brown jalapenos
Beans: Dragons tongue

And then I got some fun herbs like long island mammoth dill and hamburg rooted parsley as well as a healthy amount of fun nasturium colors.

The tree pictured is about 2 feet tall right now but is a Morus rubra (at least thats what the nursery who sold it to me said, its too young for me to be positive)

It’s never too early for planning.

I ripped out a bunch of blackberries a few weeks back, so now I have around +/- 8’ x 30’ garden to work with. Preliminarily plans are to have a 30’ row of tomatoes and cucumbers on the north side along property fence line, 30’ row of peppers in center and 30’ rows of zinnias in the front. I may add a 4th row, but that’s more than enough for us along with other blackberry area and fig trees.
