Looking real good @"TorontoJoe"#1 for one month in they’re looking really good. The word is out and it’s spreading. Your hard work is paying off, numbers don’t lie. GREAT JOB!
Thanks Teresa. I’m glad that’s happening, and I’m even more happy that I get to be in the company of such amazing people who like to chat figs, have fun and stay positive.
@"TorontoJoe"#1 meanwhile boy was it busy with activities at our house today. Along with building the barbershop we are also widening the driveway to 20ft. The pavers showed up this morning at 8 o’clock and left around 3:45pm. They’ll be back tomorrow to finish it to the job. Also the workers that are building the barbershop were also here. Tomorrow they also will be here. They have now reached the stage where they will be hanging the sheet rock. So my husband’s dream is almost a reality. He’s naming his shop “Haircuts By John”. Here’s pictures of the new driveway. Click for original Click for original Click for original Click for original Click for original Click for original Click for original
@"Figgerlickinggood"#7 Teresa a little secret about me is that I always wanted to be a cement contractor. Sadly it was not meant to be. Still I can look at your pictures, and see your contractor is doing a heck of a good pour for you. You're going to have a wonderful driveway. Now please keep us updated on the stylist / barbershop I am planning to get my haircut at your husband's barber shop one of these days..
You and I share the same secret. I used to watch concrete videos on YouTube for hours. David Odell was my favorite. I even managed to pour two small slabs at home with a concrete mixer I bought. It's hard work, but the results are satisfying and last a lifetime if done properly.
According to the town permit laws only by appointment so one at a time so all the parking isn’t taken up by customers and anger the neighbors. Also we can’t higher any other barbers. Only someone who’s an occupant of the house like either my son or I if we were haircutters. We cannot have a permanent sign above the door, no barber pole attached to the outside but it’s allowed to be inside. We have a temporary pole that’s on wheels my husband can bring outside and wheel back inside at the end of the day Also he has a small one that lights up and swirls around to attach to the inside of the window that he can turn on and off. You need something for the customers to see which house is ours where the shop is.
@"Figgerlickinggood"#7. Wow so either you, or your son can easily occupy a second station with a little training, and maybe a beautician license. I'm sure all the women would flock to your chair on the weekends Teresa. Your sheetrocked Barber Shop looks fantastic. I am very excited for you. Especially since you pointed out on your road trip post last weekend that you have customers from as much as an hour's drive away..
