First Iowa figs 2025

been picking a few desert king brebas today, these were very tasty after so long without fresh figs my tree last year struggled to properly ripen half a fig but this year is putting out like it should. About 40-50 more of these to go

It’s good just not great. Sweet flavor with a hint of mulberry but not much else going for it besides early. I’ve been on the fence myself since I got it. San Pedro’s just not the best idea without wasps

I agree, and unless you put them in ground...to leave them all big then have to store them makes it even more difficult.

I also agree. It wouldn’t work for me either. The only trees that gave me breba was from the containers I overwintered in the garage. I no longer have a garage.
