First Black Madeira 2025

This is 3 seasons old tree. First fig was ripe enough, I would have let it hang for two more days, but a friend of my came and I wanted her to taste it.
It tasted perfectly, but it was a little lighter in color. Most of my first ripe figs this season kind of ripen weird, I blame the weather.
I am waiting for 4 more figs on same tree to ripen.
First fig initial was May 12 that's 83 days.

Nice! Did you give it a headstart?
Yes I had it in my fig tent that Iput up in middle of March. The tent has no heat source for the cold days and nights, but at last they are protected against the frost and cold winds.
Now it is in same spot where the tent was against the white fiber cement siding.
It gets very hot there.
On my 13 years old BM that is near by on the corner, it's figs will start swelling in a week or so, they start ripening in first week in September, but the season has changed here so much that I don't know what to expect 🤔
Most breba usually is pretty good even great, but this season very few where decent or yucky.
Must take the good with the bad 😀

The weather is a bit different this year. As a result, the ripening timing is also off. Some of my late varieties ripen quite early this year.
