Finally! Signs of life

My oldest tree which is an Unknown Honey type is finally showing signs of life. It did not want to wake up this year and I was afraid it might be a gonner. I took a bunch of cutting and started rooting them because I didn't want to lose this one. It's my earliest variety, and early is what I need most.

My local/unknown VDB type similarly took absolutely forever to wake up - just started showing signs of life last week.

I had it in a fabric pot along with many of my other potted trees (also fabric pots) over winter. All of those trees died back to the soil level except for the VDB type, so I was excited about its hardiness.

I put it in the ground before it woke up, but then it just sat there doing nothing I could see for over a month while my other trees were sprouting all around
