Fig pron 2025... mostly Adriatics...

So, I've been doing some work around the garden this morning, the usual... weeding, pruning, tying, etc... when I noticed my pooch intensely sniffing around a couple of my fig trees. I thought he spotted some critter, but it turned out he was smelling the ripe figs. And ripe they were. Drying on the trees. Mostly Adriatics. Gorgeous. Delicious! The pooch got to enjoy a couple too.

I might have to start bringing some in over the winter. I still have a good while before any ripen here.
Beautiful figs!
It's well worth the effort. It's very motivating to enjoy the fruits of your hard labor this early in the season. Three of my haskap varieties turned blue in the last couple of days. We already picked a handful from my earliest, and they were so delicious. The earliest for me has always been strawberry, and that one would only begin ripening mid-June. Now we have haskaps and figs in early June. I love it.

Shut the front door!

Those are amazing, there may have to be a disclaimer in the title. :)
reaping the benefits of your hard work, love it when it pays off!

Kudos.
