Finally getting started on a fig art project.  I made templates from several leaves from the garden and will hopefully end up with a steel fig branch with leaves and figs… I did a magnolia flower for the wife a while back but I’m more excited about this one.  Plasma cutting, blacksmithing, and welding in one project… #PostApocalypseLifeSkills

Nice idea.  I will definitely be adding some curve to them and adding veins, but when I have access to the local furnace.  I think Friday PM.  I will see about a spoon rest version, perhaps with the tip of the stem bent down to have it rest flat.  I could also weld some round stock offsets to the bottom like small 3/8th" legs.

Keep it coming please. I've really practised with the welding and I lay nice beads but it's no means art.. what you've produced are things of beauty!
 
@"BackwoodsSouthernLawyer"#42 WOW what beautiful fig art, and infinitely desirable. I think you're fig leaves would lend themselves to a beautiful plasma cut sculpture gate, which could open onto a courtyard of delicious figs. I have a limited imagination LOL I see artistic Perfection, and try to turn it into a gate.
