Fertilizer Injectors?

If I truly can't get this thing to empty all the fert inside a few days I may need to redo things.

Maybe put the pressure reducer before the 4 zone timer so I can put the EZ-FLO between the pressure reducer and the timer.... set it to fertilize all the zones this way and it wont matter if it take longer. Of course that would mean everything gets the same fert ratio's

OK.... This should provide a bit more info

I went back to the unit and as you can see there's wasn't much red to the clear tube.

Opening it up you can see the mixe of red dye and fert. I poured a little bit off so some bubbles would be visible

I also noticed here that this is in fact a valve on the inside on the agitator. It appears to be in the flow position.

Now the moment of truth. I put the smallest restrictor in the bib (red). It appears to be running faster than before.... Does this look normal?

If I have drip emitters for a flow rate of about 60 gph, running for a total of one hour per day

The part I'm really trying to wrap my head around. How long should it take for the contents of the tank to be completely delivered, leaving only clear water in the tank?

It’s flowing like it should now (although your dye is very weak to start with). I could tell by how quickly the bubbles passed and the tube filled. You should be good now. What size system did you buy again? In the instructions there will be another section that will allow you calculate how long it takes for that system to empty on the fast speed with the most restrictive washer.

Thanks. This is the one I have. It's a 2.5 gal

The instructions don't seem to indicate any of this... Here's the manual that came with it

I’ll calculate it for you. That’s one of their big ones. I use the small 3/4 gallon one for a large veggie garden (9 beds) with more than 20 trees and shrubs. I fill it up with 3-4 cups of fertilizer and at my flow rates it will run it almost complete clear after an hour.

I wanted the smaller one. Sadly, it's the only one that was available up here.

Thank you!

I’ve purchased this flow injector just haven’t had time to setup. Has anyone tried this one before?

With the most restrictive disc, your system will be close to emptying the 2.5 gallon container (with 3.75 - 4 cups of fertilizer -diluted this will be approx 1 tbs/gallon) after 1 hour. There may be a little color left in the water but 99% or more of the fertilizer should be gone.

Haven't seen that one before. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the one I got! LoL!
I’ve watched it on you tube and it’s very simple. Essentially you’ll have the end filter suck up the fertilizer and it will mix together through the irrigation system. I’ll try and pull up a YouTube video tube video I watched

This is great! So if I use the smallest disk, I should have all the fert delivered in one day.... but to be conservative I can change it up after 2 days... Does that sound correct?

It's weird that it did so little with no disk. All good. I'll redo that zone in a few days.

Thank you!

Yup! You should be GTG.
