Electric Pruning Shears?

Has anyone tried the Temu electric pruning shears? I've watched some review videos and they seem decent. Just curious if anyone has tried using them on fig tree wood?

Here is a link to a pair (I think they are all pretty similar): Temu Electric Pruning Shears

For anyone making a lot of cuts, such things make an otherwise impossible job possible, especially for people with smaller wrists, who would sustain injury making hundreds of cuts. Mind the working end. A finger holding a branch could depart in an instant if the blades have their way.

Like those above, I don’t have enough to prune for them. Plus I think my wife would lose her mind if I bought one for my trees lol.

Yes- mind that blade! I thought about how that could easily take a finger off!

Electric pruners make pruning much easier but be mindful that this whole system, batteries and all, is headed for a landfill in 1-2 years, so will end up in our drinking water. Or, for four times the price, you buy a domestic brand with a warranty and battery support for a decade, which keeps it out of the water supply longer. Or, you stick with all metal hand pruners that aren't harmful whenever they rust away decades from now.

I was lucky last year and found Milwaukee pruners on clearance for $63 . I already have Milwaukee tools so batteries and charger were already bin hand.
I wouldn't have bought it without the clearance price but I'm absolutely glad I have them. Can really save from developing corple tunnel.

I bought the electric pruners from Temu and love them! I am a small woman and it helps tremendously. The one I ordered looks like what you posted and came with 2 batteries, carrying case, and it has a couple safety features built in. I absolutely believe it could take off a finger or three if you are not careful though. The thing is powerful!

I have the dewalt version that I got for $69 or so last year and they for sure save my arms. I wouldn’t say these type of pruners make the best finishing cut so I maybe not recommend them for pruning your prized Japanese Maple but they can make short work of fig cuttings.

I also have the dewalt. I got it as a joke for my wife, but it's now mine and my most used tool. My dad liked it so much he got one of his own. Definitely keep those fingers away for the blades....
