Dug up the trees

Wait....didni miss something?
Are you moving again or just pulling the trees out of the ground.
You just moved in there not long ago so Im like....what!

Sorry I'm out of the loop.

Good choices Teresa, please please please take cuttings of everything else. Let's not lose that Superstar home Orchard of yours. If you take the cuttings you're just downsizing it.

@"ktrain"#2  yes we are moving again.  Long story short it almost went south but it worked out but we only have 1 week to pack and move.  Started on Monday and closing and moving day is this Monday.  In 5 days we got our house almost 90% done, the attic and shed are 100% done.  What a nightmare.  There’s more to the story about the new house which I will post about later date.  We are so exhausted.

Kevin you didn't know ? Where have you been ? 🙄
Lol 😆 🤣 😂

It's alot of work to move in general but to do it in one week must be stressful. Good luck Teresa. 👍

Wow!  Teresa, I'm glad Kevin asked, cuz I was feeling "out of the loop" also.  Congratulations!  Looking forward to hearing more about the new place...just whenever works for you.  Sounds like a new adventure is about to begin!  And I'll bet you are exhausted...a lot to do in a very short time.

And I agree with @"LadyGT"#46 ...whatever you might need to to fill in on varieties once you are settled, if I have it, you are welcome to cuttings or air layers.  (Just let me know and I can send you a variety list)

@"LadyGT"#46 @"Figless"#18 the trees are no where near dormancy to take cuttings. The sap is still really flowing. We purchased a exactly 900sq ft house, no basement, no garage. There’s just no place to do cuttings. Besides I still have I think about 13 containers which we could put inground if we decide. That will think about in the spring. We will over winter everyone in our new 10 x 12 shed till then.

You don't have to wait for dormancy to root cuttings. I received cuttings from a friend 3 years ago at the Fig A Rama during the month of July . The cuttings were semi lignified if I remember correctly and were wrapped in a damp paper towel and kept in a ziplock bag for at least 24 hours.  When I got home, I just stuck them in water to root and they did.   In the past, I have taken broken branches from trees and rooted them in water at least 4 times.  A  couple of weeks ago, I took a stiff green cutting and it rooted in less than a week in water.

I have learned over the years that having sap in the wood is a good thing while rooting a cutting.  It just gives the cutting food to live on while going through the rooting process.  Do not be afraid to try it.  If I can do it, anybody can.

Lol...I don't know how I've missed this...maybe when the bs was going down at the other place...I'm a lost cause.

Dang Teresa I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out, but happy to hear...it's working out.
That sounded odd. :)

Did you get a good deal on some property near where you are?
