Credit Card PayPal Question

I use PayPal very often when checking out because I don’t want my credit card number on file with websites if I can avoid it.

PayPal’s cut is pretty steep, but like Teresa I sometimes don’t trust the site enough with my credit card number….. so I’ll use PayPal. I wouldn’t be the slightest bit concerned on figbid

I never paid a fee to use PayPal at least I don’t think I do. When I cash out I see my invoice and the only thing on it is the price of the items, shipping and taxes. There’s never any PayPal fee included on the invoice.It appears you can use credit or debit card as well

I believe typically the seller pays it.

I think you can use pay pal as a credit card processor and the person doesn’t have to sign up for pay pal. It’s something like that.

Seller pays the fee. Its typically 2.5-3.5 % similar to a lot of other credit card payments. I use it is a checkout option on websites sometimes, because I don't want to get up to go get a card

I like PayPal. It allows me to buy things ( mostly figs ) without my wife asking me what I bought.

Yes you have to sign up with PayPal and then they have your credit card in file so you can use PayPal at websites when you shop.

I allow for PayPal or credit card payments on my figbid listings to give buyers two options at checkout.

I'm curious.... if someone uses their credit card via PayPal... does the seller get charged by both?

There’s only one processing fee charged per transaction.

Paying for purchases with a credit card through PayPal is a great option. The option is available for most but not every seller. I don't know why. figBid also gives seller's the option of signing up with Stripe so they can accept credit card payments. Stripe is the best! Their fees are competitive and they're very easy to use, too. More sellers should look into Stripe.
figBid does not store any CC info. It's too much of a hassle. Stripe does all of that for us. Buyers that checkout with a credit card on figBid will see they're temporarily redirected to Stripe who collects the payments. Stripe sends back the last 4 digits of the CC number to figBid and nothing else. The last 4 digits of the CC is stored in the buyer's account to make it easier to pick a credit card to pay with for the next purchase.
One day all of this will go away and figBid will handle payments for buyers and sellers. Of course it will be at a significant discount to the payment providers available now.
