Coll de Dame Blanca Negra. What a beautiful looking fig, and a good sized fruit. Even picked early, it's clearly a beautiful, and delicious looking pulp. Everything about this fig is truly a photogenically desirable, and scrumptious looking fruit. Sadly I was not successful trying to propagate this beauty last spring. It was one of the 40 cuttings I sadly lost last spring to Fig Bud Mites. I hope to try again this coming late winter, or early spring.
 
We can get some ghillie suits and wait them out.
Can't be letting them get those tasty num nums bro!

What is a ghillie suit?  Never heard of that.  Is that something like camouflage outfit?

I was thinking of dressing up as a tree but quickly retracted that thought.

Yes, it's the suit that snipers where to look like bushes or foliage. 😁

@James i just read recently where someone compared it to CDD Gris claiming it to be the CDD variety it is most similar to... 

some of the figs it makes are green as well. I wonder how much difference in the two???

Is that the Blanca Negra Not that is being passed around? It looks similar to it to me… The true blanca negra is supposed to have separate black & separate green fruit on the same tree.
 
The only one I have held on to is Blanc...had a few others but they didn't work out here.
Blanc was the first CDD I purchased so it's special...LOL

I’m not sure yet. Only one fig has partially ripened. Got it from a member in the Bay Area. Exhibit A is Mutante.
 
When I saw the fig, I was thinking about Grise.  I got some cuttings 2 yrs ago and got a cutting to root.  I got fruit from it this year, but to my surprise it was not CDD anything.  I will try again, I now need to get one just cause.
