Caprifig

I don’t have the wasp and I’m not looking to grow out seedlings. Is there any specific caprifig I should aim for? Does different pollens affect the flavor of caprified figs? Does one produce substantially more pollen than the others? Thanks in advance!

Different pollen can have different affects on figs. But most of us would not notice it. I always tell people to go with the cheaper and easiest to find. Capri Q is a good one with a tasty main crop. UCD has good pollen and is easy to find. Pete's wild #1 supposed to have a good bit of pollen. Saleeb is another that is easy to find.

My GxY grows super fast. Very vigorous when I don't neglect it, and it has 12" leaves.
