CAN PLANETES

Oh yea now I see it, nice!

I know exactly what you mean my picking them before the rain gets there.
My Black Tuscan are ripening right now and that hurricane coming up from the gulf is dumping 3 days of rain on us!
Time to bring it in the garage!

@"ktrain"#2 We have had rain the past few day. I have many figs that are almost perfectly ripe, just praying they don't split on me!

Ive never tried but often wondered if covering a pot so water couldn’t get in would help prevent splitting

I may have to give that a try with the few figs I have left.
One B Tuscan was all purple and last night I watered....this morning it was split.
So it stands to reason that covering the soil will work.

I am wishing that every season... 😂

@"jgkerns13"#41 simply delicious, and lovely looking Can Planetes fig pictures. I wish I was your neighbor.. Congratulations they look enough to eat. Whether they were picked early, or not those are wonderful looking figs. BTW I have never heard of this variety before is there a backstory on this fig that you could share with us?
