BYFG Winter Workshops February 15

The Backyard Fruit Growers will be holding their Winter Sessions on February 15th at the Farm and Home Center (1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster, PA 17601). Each workshop is $5 in advance or $10 at the door.

Topics include rooting cuttings, pawpaws, planning an orchard, hardy citrus, beginning beekeeping, and apple tree pruning.

The general public can attend, but I recommend joining this group (only $15 for 2 yrs) to attend their grafting workshop (free apple, pear, pawpaw, etc scions!) and apple and pawpaw tastings in the Fall.

Yeah, it can take a while. You should ask about it when you go on Saturday.

Yet another fruit event coinciding with a family event! Maybe in 15 years or so fruit will win.

Thanks for sending this out though. I've been wanting to join byfg but never seen to get around to it. The treasurer lives about a mile from me and I bet he's got some good info on growing stuff around here as well.
