Bulb planting

Is November still the best month to plant flower bulbs?  Before I moved I dug up all the bulbs in my small flower bed.  I let them all dry out and can now be replanted.  Not sure when to plant them in Virginia zone 7a.

Teresa planting flower bulbs was one of my first gardening loves, as a child. Whether it was planting tulips, gladiolas, daffodils, hyacinth, Crocus. Irises, Easter lilies, and ranunculus. They were easy to grow and I loved planting them all. As an old man I still do. What kind of bulbs are you planting this year? Ranunclus asiaticus

I don;t plant flower bulbs but I normally would have had my garlic in the ground weeks ago. It's been cool but  days over 70F regularly. I've been afraid if I put them in the ground they'll sprout too early. I'm going to put the garlic in this weekend regardless. I can't wait any longer.

It's been near 80°F here, and usually we're having hard frost and freezes by now. Today was in the mid 70's and now thunderstorms are rolling in. But it's supposed to only get into the 60s for the highs over the next couple of weeks, so rain or no rain, my garlic is going in this coming weekend.

I prepped the beds today. Garlic goes in tomorrow. Then it's just a matter of keeping the squirrels from digging them up before the ground freezes. Not that it really freezes here anymore.
