I knew you all would think that but I had non other way to describe how the figs are being heated.

From the title I was also wondering if I was going to need to move this to the recipe section.... Seems like everything is broiled there right now!

Is there any humidity to speak of? The trees must be taking in a lot of water

Not much humidity , I keep the tree well watered. Temps should start to come down a little next week, this is not typical for August

Every time I've been to the Phoenix area was in spring or fall. I was blown away by how hot it would be during the day then how cold it would get at night. I'd go out in shorts in the afternoon then be freezing after dinner.

Great thing about the highlands over here is that it cools off at night. San Diego would stay miserable.
